Hillary tents are bought by many consumers; However not without a few complaints by dissatisfied campers after using a Hillary tent.

There is not many camping tents that we review and rate that start so negative as we have started here about the Hillary Camping tent.

All tents, have advantages and disadvantages including the Hillary tent, that buyers would agree with.

About Hillary Tents

Hillary tents are made for Sears by at least three companies that we are aware of, that include: Wenzel, Northpole, and Sung Yung. Buyers have had difficulties with finding out who to go to when things go wrong with their tent. These tents are named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to climb to the summit of Mt Everest.

Now, a Hillary camping tent is not the most expensive tent on the market, actually they are cheap compared to the top tent brands that will bring down the quality. These are what can be called economy or budget tents.

The main issue's concerning this tent is poles snapping and seam leaks. Although, we are not aware if the buyers used seam sealant.

Sears is the company that sells a Hillary camping tent, although we found this misleading as all we find is the related tent manufacturers, Wenzel, Northpole etc. E-bay users also sell these tents and you may be able to get one cheap. The issue will be finding replacement parts.

Based on the information we have, or should we say lack of, we would not recommend the Hillary Tent at all. A thing of the 80's we would say....
