Eureka Timberline 4 Person Tent

I have owned the Eureka Timberline 4 person tent for about 12 months now, bought from REI outdoors store. We did own a eureka timberline before this one that lasted for about 10 years and we though we deserved a new one.

Because the last one was used most years about 3+ times and we had no issues with it we decided to get a new one. I checked our a good few eureka tent reviews about the timberline first and noticed people saying they were not as good quality as they were many years ago.

After checking the tent reviews and ordering our tent we was pleasantly surprised that it was stil a cool tent.

We was thinking about upgrading the style of tent to buy, although having a solid tent won over how the design looked. We have only took it out twice this year and its been fine, with a nice fresh smell to it compared to our old Eureka timberline 4 tent.

It is heavier than other tents that can be used for backpacking, but could be stronger than many. We only hit a trail backpacking about once a year and share the weight which cause no problems for us, at all.

Pitching this tent is really easy and best done with 2 people. Room is fine, we camp with either the 3 of us or my son comes as well whos now 14. Its more comfortable with the three of us but tents are meant to be compact.

Its a great tent for the price range and this was within ours. If we had an extra $200 we would have chosen 2 other tent types, but they still probably wouldnt last as long as the Eureka timberline 4.

Basicaly its a rock solid camping tent that can be used for backpacking but great for base camp.
